Columbia Beach Resort is seeking a creative, passionate and motivated Pastry Cook to join its Culinary Team. The role involves preparing and presenting high-quality desserts and pastry products in line with 5★ luxury hospitality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes and other confectionery products
• Assisting with desserts for à la carte restaurants, buffets, banquets and special events
• Following established recipes, portion specifications and presentation standards
• Ensuring consistency in product quality, taste and presentation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety in the pastry kitchen
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP procedures and the Resort’s food safety standards
• Monitoring the proper storage, handling and rotation of ingredients
• Supporting stock control and minimising food waste
• Maintaining pastry equipment and workstations in good working condition
• Working closely with the Executive Sous Chef and other members of the Culinary Team to ensure smooth daily operations

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar position, preferably in a hotel or professional pastry kitchen
• Diploma or certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts or a related field will be considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, ingredients and equipment
• Creativity, attention to detail and passion for pastry and dessert preparation
• Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and safe food handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong team spirit
• Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
