    • 1.3Please read this Policy carefully. By submitting your acceptance on the relevant notifications posted on the Website, you are deemed to have read, understood, agreed to and consented to processing of your personal data according to the terms of this Policy.

    • 1.5Definitions:

"Website User or User" means any natural or legal person accessing or otherwise using the Website including a user who creates an employer account or an employment candidate account.

"Employer Account" means a Website account created by a user for the purpose of creating an employer profile on the Website, posting job positions on the Website and communicating with employment candidates through the Website.

"Employment candidate account" means a Website account created by a Website User for the purpose of creating an employment candidate profile on the Website, posting a CV on the Website, searching and applying for job positions, communicating with employers through the Website.

"User to User messaging feature" means the Website’s service which allows Website Users with employment candidates accounts to communicate with Website Users with employer accounts through the Website and vice versa.


The Website collects user submitted personal data in the following manners:

    • 2.1Registering an Employer Account

We suggest that the person registering the account on behalf of the employer and handling the Employer’s Account after registration is the same person responsible for recruitment and/or a member of the Employer’s human resources department. In order to process an application to register an Employer Account, we will need to collect the following minimum information:

  • name and surname of the person opening and handling the account on behalf of the Employer
  • name of the Employer
  • email address

In addition to the above information, if you so wish, you can also provide the following optional information:

  • address of the Employer
  • telephone number of the Employer
  • the Employer’s sector or industry
  • Employer’s company description
  • links to the Employer’s own website or to the Employer’s social media profile

Any such data provided will only be visible through the Website to users with employment candidate accounts and according to the user’s visibility settings. We will only store such data on our serves to enable the user holding the account to view and update them and in general to enable us to facilitate the user’s account and to provide the Website’s functions to the user. After a user has deleted their employer account or made a relevant request to us, or the account has been removed by us due to an infringement of the Terms by the user, such data will be permanently deleted from our records.

  • 2.2Registering an Employment Candidate Account

In order to process an application to register an Employment Candidate Account, we will need to collect the following minimum information:

  • name and surname
  • email address

In addition to the above information, if you so wish, you can also provide the following optional information:

  • desired job type or sector
  • qualifications
  • work experience
  • photograph

Any such data provided will only be visible through the Website to users with employer accounts and according to the user’s visibility settings. We will only store such data on our serves to enable the user holding the account to view and update them and in general to enable us to facilitate the user’s account and to provide the Website’s functions to the user. After a user has deleted their employment candidate account or made a relevant request to us, or the account has been removed by us due to an infringement of the Terms by the user, such data will be permanently deleted from our records.

  • 2.3Contacting carierista.com using the Website Contact us page

In order to process your enquiry and in order to be able to respond to you, when contacting us through this website feature, we will need to collect the following minimum information:

  • name and surname
  • email address
  • the topic of your message
  • your message

We will only store the enquiry and any such personal data therein, for as long as it is necessary to deal with your enquiry and after that, for as long as it is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of carierista in the event of a legal or other dispute or for as long as it is necessary to protect the interests of the user who has submitted the enquiry or the interests of a user who is the subject of the enquiry.

  • 2.4Using the Website’s User to User messaging feature

In order to provide this feature to our users, we store the contents of the messages exchanged between users on our servers. Such messages may include personal data of the employment candidate or of the person operating the Employer’s Account, of the type normally exchanged between a person seeking employment and a recruiter.

Any such data included in such a user to user message will only be visible to the sender and the recipient of the message. We will only store the data of such messages on our serves to enable the users who exchange such messages to view them and reply to each other. After one of the users in such a conversation has deleted their account or made a relevant request to us, or the account has been removed by us due to an infringement of the Terms by the user, the messages of such conversations between the two users and all personal data contained therein, will be permanently deleted from our records.

  • 2.5Posting a job position

In order to provide this feature to our users we will collect some or all of the following types of personal data of the Employer’s contact person (if any such data is provided by the user) depending on the contents of the job position as decided by the user posting it:

  • name and surname
  • work email address of the employer’s contact person
  • work telephone number
  • work address
  • position

Any such data included in a posted job position, will be visible through the Website, to users with employment candidate accounts for as long as the user who has posted the position keeps the position posted and according to the user’s visibility settings. After the user has removed the job position it will no longer be visible to other users and we will only store the job position in our servers for the purpose of enabling the user who had initially posted it, to view their own previous job position posts. After the user who had posted the job position has deleted their account or made a relevant request to us, or the account has been removed by us due to an infringement of the Terms by the user, the job position and all personal data contained therein, will be permanently deleted from our records.

  • 2.6Posting a CV on your account

After Website Users register an Employment Candidate Account, they will be able to, if they so choose, to post their CV on their account. In order to provide this feature to our users, we will collect some or all of the types of personal data normally included in a CV (if any such data is provided by the user) depending on the contents of the CV as decided by the user posting it.

Any such data included in a posted CV, will be visible through the Website, to users with employer accounts for as long as the user who has posted the position keeps the CV posted and according to the user’s visibility settings. After the user has removed the CV, it will no longer be visible to other users. After the user who had posted the CV has removed it or has deleted their account or made a relevant request to us, or the account has been removed by us due to an infringement of the Terms by the user, the CV and all personal data contained therein, will be permanently deleted from our records.
