For one of our clients, a professional stock, CFD, and equities broker, we are looking for a Head of Compliance and AML to join their team in Limassol.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking regulatory changes
  • Ensure that requested amendments are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Developing or assisting in developing, and enforcing adequate policies and procedures as per compliance requirements of CySEC and/or other Regulators
  • Ensure implementation of the Company’s procedures
  • Implement the Company’s Compliance Monitoring Program and conduct monitoring.
  • Provide the company’s employees with training sessions in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Advice and give guidelines to Company’s employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Assure that the employees responsible for carrying out investment services and activities are complying with the Company’s obligations and Law directives.
  • Ensure that the Company complies with its continuous obligations to CySEC
  • Interact and assist the regulatory bodies in performing inspections of the Company’s activities.
  • Continuous improvement of the existing control procedures
  • Review the Company’s marketing communication, conduct the examination per legal requirements, and provide suggestions if required.
  • In case of detection of failure or malfunction by the firm offer specific remedial measures for correction as per Law and regulations
  • Provides an annual written report to the Board of Directors indicating in detail whether the appropriate corrective measures have been taken in the event of any weaknesses.
  • Monitor the complaints-handling process.
  • Offering Draft agreements related to Compliance.
  • Drafting and monitoring policies and procedures
  • Assisting other departments with Compliance related tasks.

Requirements:

  • CySEC Advanced and AML certificate is mandatory.
  • 5 years experience as a Head of Compliance, Compliance and AML officer, Compliance Manager, or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administrator, or Finance.
  • Prior experience in the financial industry is compulsory.
  • Detail oriented
  • Fluency in English
