Avlida Hotel is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Cleaner to join its kitchen team.

Role overview

The Kitchen Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation throughout the hotel kitchen and related areas. The role ensures that kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, work surfaces and storage areas are clean, safe and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, sinks and preparation areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely.
• Remove rubbish and waste and keep waste areas clean and organized.
• Clean ovens, grills, refrigerators, freezers and other kitchen equipment as required.
• Follow hotel food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Keep cleaning materials and equipment properly stored.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, spills or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning tasks during and after service.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
• Follow all hotel health, safety and workplace procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or commercial kitchen is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and perform cleaning duties.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
