The HR Officer of AMARA Hotel supports the full range of Human Resources activities, combining strong HR administration with payroll preparation, recruitment and selection, employee engagement, performance management, rewards and recognition, HR systems and reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Administration, Systems & Payroll

Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, attendance, leave and payroll-related information, ensuring timely and accurate monthly payroll preparation.

Prepare HR reports and support the effective implementation and administration of HR systems, policies and processes.
Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle

Coordinate recruitment, selection, pre-employment documentation, onboarding, induction and probation processes in collaboration with department managers.

Manage and maintain employee lifecycle administration, including promotions, transfers, changes in employment status and exits.
Performance, Rewards & Talent Management

Coordinate performance management, appraisal and employee development processes, ensuring timely completion and follow-up.

Administer rewards, recognition, benefits and talent development initiatives that support employee retention and career progression.
Employee Engagement & HR Support

Support employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition and internal communication initiatives, fostering a positive hospitality culture.

Provide professional and confidential HR support to employees and managers while assisting with employee relations matters.
Compliance, Projects & Continuous Improvement

Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with company policies, hotel standards and applicable employment legislation.

Support the HR Manager with HR projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
-
At least 1 year-experience as HR officer, Administrator, other HR position; having worked in the hospitality sector will be considered an advantage,

Must possess some HR credentials (diploma, bachelor degree or others) recognised in Cyprus,

Advanced knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.), best work practices, labor laws and disciplinary/grievance procedures,

Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of specialised HR programmes will be a plus,

Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities,
-
Strong administration skills with close attention to detail,
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to write and speak English & Greek fluently,

Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
