Senior Associate (Accounting Department)

The role
We are looking to recruit a Senior Associate to join our Accounting Department, based in our Nicosia office.
Key responsibilities
- Update and maintain the Group Companies’ books and general ledgers.
- Perform bank and vendor reconciliations.
- Perform reconciliations related to clients’ money and assets.
- Carry out daily reconciliations of client funds, including bank accounts, ledgers, PSP balances, and platform balances.
- Upload bank payments where necessary.
- Assist with year-end external and internal audits.
- Maintain and update working papers, including fixed asset registers, prepayment lists, accrual lists, and payment lists.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including trial balances and Profit and Loss, as well as ad hoc reports requested by management.
- Follow internal company policies and procedures.
- Handle other related tasks assigned by management.
Experience and skills required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Studying towards ACCA (or equivalent) is considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in an accountant role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, with proficiency in Excel.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SAP accounting systems is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in the CFD industry is considered an advantage.
- Very good organizational and prioritization skills.
- Hard-working with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
