Our client a high-end luxury travel agency specialising in personalised safaris around the world is looking to employ an energetic individual to join their team
Position’s duties and responsibilities
- Monitor website enquiry forms and respond in a timely manner. Respond to client emails, and creating booking forms for new clients and safaris
- Research and information gathering on new safari destinations (location information, camps/ lodges/hotels, flight and other travel logistics etc.).
- Communicating with service providers via both phone and email to organise and book the details of a planned safari; under supervision execute, record and monitor the planning steps for a safari on a tracking checklist.
- Record and keep track of client account flights in flight tracker; check that issued e-tickets and boarding passes are correct according to client requests.
- Creating brochures, information packs, and itineraries for guests.
- Issue invoices and prepare payment information for the settling of service provider invoices
- Assist with account checks and audit exercises under manager supervision
- Assisting with social media research and posts
- Sourcing and creating promotional material and product giveaways; find and vet suppliers, ask for quotes, liaise with graphic designers/printers etc. for the production of marketing supplies.
Position’s requirements
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken is imperative (Greek is not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in any kind of field is acceptable
- Ideally 1-2 years’ work experience in a similar role
- Background in marketing and communications would be considered a plus
- Proficient in the use of data and word software e.g. Pages, Numbers, Word, Excel Spreadsheets
- Detail oriented - attention to detail and accuracy is essential; must be able to strike the right balance between taking the time to produce high quality work without compromising the company’s quick response turn-around time to clients
- Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills
- Trustworthy professional able to work independently, but also follow established processes and systems
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Enthusiasm to be part of a growing and evolving high end product in the travel industry
