Nicosia Mall is looking for an ambitious bookkeeper to join its management team in Nicosia.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting books and records
  • Recording accounting transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, accruals, prepayments etc.) in accordance with applicable IFRS
  • Issuing of invoices, credit notes, receipts and communicating with clients
  • Assisting in the receivables collection process
  • Liaising and communicating with suppliers
  • Reconciliation of Bank, Receivables, and Payables balances
  • Maintaining VAT registers and Preparing VAT return
  • Preparing any ad hoc reports and analysis (mainly in Microsoft Excel)
  • Assisting in monthly, quarterly and Year End closing processes and reporting
  • Assisting in the annual audit process by gathering and providing information to auditors
  • Assisting in other accounting/analytical procedures in order to gain extended knowledge and expertise (e.g. payroll, variance analysis, preparation of budgets and consolidated FS etc.)

  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information
  • Multitask and committed to deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of accounting software Navision will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of VAT and Tax legislations
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English and Greek

Education/Experience:

  • University degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or another related field, will be considered an advantage
  • Holder of LCCI Higher in accounting
  • Being in the process of getting ACCA/ACA Qualification, will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting, will be considered an advantage
