CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Professional Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Consultant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Payroll Consultant, you will primarily be responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll on behalf of various clients and their employees. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant payroll-related position, who hold previous experience working with payroll software, as well as MS Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English are essential. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th Salary, Medical Insurance, Provident Fund and Life Insurance. 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Input of payroll data (TD59) required for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll and payments for employees of client companies.
  • Preparation and distribution of payslips at the end of each payroll run.
  • Registration of new employees with the Social Insurance Department and the Tax Department.
  • Payment of social insurance and tax contributions to the authorities.
  • Preparation and distribution of annual payroll certificates (TD63) to employees of client companies.
  • Preparation and submission of the annual employer's return (TD7) with the Tax Department.
  • Responding to payroll related inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Preparation of periodic payroll reports according to client requests.
  • Communication with various government departments such as Social Insurance Department, Tax Department and Immigration Authorities to find solutions and resolve issues.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in relevant position. 
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills, high levels of attention to detail and results orientation.
  • Very good working knowledge of payroll software and MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
