CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding CySEC Regulated Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Legal to join their growing Team. Working closely with Senior Management, the successful applicant with be responsible for a wide range of legal duties, including the review and drafting of a wide range of legal agreements and contracts, and providing legal advice and conducting extensive legal research, ultimately playing a key role to ensure the Company is able to proactively identify legal risks and remain aligned with relevant legislation. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who possess approximately 3+ years of proven experience in a relevant, senior-level legal position within the Forex and/or Financial Services sectors. Fluency in Greek and English is essential, and holders of any relevant CySEC certifications are encouraged to apply. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Draft or improve agreements, contracts and other legal documents and ensure they are aligned with the relevant legislation.
• Provide expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risk faced are identified, reported and mitigated.
• Consulting and handling all corporate legal processes.
• Conduct legal research on various matters and proactively identify legal risks.
• Advise the Company on potential legal risks.
• Review any new applicable laws and regulations, and advise how these are affecting the company’s operations.
• Implementation of the Internal Regulations and procedures of the Company.
• Advise on employment labour law and other legal matters, involving head office as well as global offices.
• Providing guidance and training to staff and management on legal and other related matters.
• Assisting with general and varied queries affecting the business.
• Conduct periodic audits on matters relating to regulatory and employment frameworks.
• Carries out any further duties assigned by their Line Manager.
• Report on department activities and performance to the Operations Manager.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• 3+ years of experience in a managerial role within the FX and/or Financial Services sector.
• CySEC Advanced certification and/or CySEC AML certification will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to use independent judgement.
• Detailed knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations.
• Ability to interpret and advice on the application of various laws.
• Excellent spoken and written Greek or English communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong critical & logical thinking.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work under pressure.
