Your role at Exness:

The Intern Database DevOps Administrator will be responsible for developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) roles and modules using Ansible, as well as writing Golang exporters to enhance and automate the management of our asset system. This role aims to support the Database Administration team's efforts in maintaining efficient, reliable, and scalable database systems through automation and development.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible roles and modules to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management processes in support of the Database Administration team's objectives.

  • Write and maintain Golang exporters to gather metrics from our asset system, ensuring high-quality data collection for monitoring and analysis purposes.

  • Collaborate with the Database Administration team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate IAC and custom tools into existing workflows.

  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices in software development to ensure high-quality code and infrastructure.

  • Document developed modules, roles, and exporters, providing clear instructions and support to users and team members.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in IAC, Golang development, and database administration to continuously improve our processes and tools.

The ideal Intern:

  • Bachelor degree in progress or completed in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of Ansible and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles.

  • Some experience with Golang or a strong willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with database concepts and interest in DBA practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems.
