CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing teams based in either Limassol or Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance and collaborate with relevant parties to meet reporting obligations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or another relevant field, who possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Compliance Officer or a similar role within the FX industry. You will need to possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, and any relevant CySEC, AML or ACAMs certifications will be considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance and collaborate with relevant parties to meet reporting obligations.
  • Liaison person with the competent authorities e.g. CySEC, MOKAS.
  • Monitoring and ensuring timely reporting to various jurisdictions in collaboration with various departments.
  • Maintaining up to date compliance records (e.g., documents, logs, correspondence, reports, etc.).
  • Preparing/amending company/ies necessary documents (e.g. templates).
  • Drafting and revising policies and procedures and preparing reports.
  • Addressing employees’ questions and advising on compliance matters.
  • Ensuring that the Website/s have all the necessary information up to date according to regulatory requirements and Payment processors.
  • Conducting KYC and assisting the customer due diligence process.
  • Working on related changes to the Company’s documentation.
  • Reviewing, investigating, and assisting with the resolution of client complaints.
  • Liaising with all relevant departments and supporting areas within the Company.
  • Performing any other assigned compliance-related tasks, including administration duties.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Law/Finance/Economics/Business or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Compliance Officer or a similar position in the FX industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of rules and regulations of CySEC, MIFID II and experience with other regulators.
  • Up-to-date with CySEC circulars.
  • CySEC Advanced, CySEC AML or ACAMs certificates will be considered as an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Fluent in Greek and English language (verbal & written).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong critical & logical thinking.
  • Analysis & research skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
