CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a pioneering provider of Insurance services and solutions that is disrupting the insurance sector, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Analyst to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily reconcile the output from the policy production system to the bank, as well as process transactions in the finance system, whilst ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related fields, who possess approximately 2 + years of experience in a similar role working with big data for the reconciliation of receivables with sales invoices, including processing discrepancies and/or complex transactions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, and knowledge of Greek and/or Romanian will be considered an advantage. An advanced level of Excel is needed for this role. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on experience and experience, including private medical insurance, provident fund, ESOP after 2 years (Employee Stock Ownership), as well as hybrid working conditions.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Reconcile the output from the policy production system to the bank and processing transactions in the finance system.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports.
  • Processing and posting of refunds and cancellations.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of closing balances.
  • Reconciliation of sales taxes.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other closely related fields.
  • Pursuing ACCA/AAT/CAT qualifications is desirable.
  • Approximately 2+ years of previous experience in a relevant role is a must.
  • Worked with big data for the reconciliation of receivables with sales invoices, including reconciling and processing discrepancies or complex transactions.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel and PIVOT tables.
  • Worked in functions relating to receipt of payments, collection of cash, issuance of receipts and/or invoicing.
  • Experience in ecommerce, insurance, or the technology sector is desirable.
  • Experience of using and working with accounting software.
  • Use of Python or Microsoft BI would be an advantage.
  • Experience in data reconciliation for accounting purposes, with the ability to work with big spreadsheets and perform detailed analysis.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills – will need to cooperate with other teams and communicate effectively in English.  Knowledge of Greek and/or Romanian would be an advantage.
  • Possesses an adaptable mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, a dedication to excellence, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong multitasking abilities.
