Would you like to become part of an ambitious invoicing team? And are you enthusiastic about the operations and a continued development of an efficient invoicing process essential to support the overall business performance? Then you might be our new voyage Controller.

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join one of our key teams. In the Control team you will take on a crucial role in handling the invoicing process within NORDEN, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency, together with the rest of the team. Thus, you will work closely together with your direct colleagues and a variety of different commercial stakeholders.

The position is located at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.

Become part of a team promoting accuracy and structure
By joining our Control team, you will work on a wide span of tasks including generation of invoices, quality assurance, documentation, reconciliations and compliance monitoring.

You will report to one of 4 Control Leads and become part of a team consisting of 4 other controllers with the task of maintaining accurate and timely invoicing processes and voyage controlling.

Alongside both your manager and the rest of the team, you will be serving as a close link between the commercial teams, Finance and the departments responsible for disputes and billing to address payment discrepancies and resolve related issues.

Engaging in a cross-functional collaboration is essential and your tasks will be closely related to the work of our Shipping Operators, as you will handle all cost-related matters of a voyage. To succeed in the role as Controller, it is of utmost importance that you find it attractive to build partnerships and strong relationships with stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Approval of invoices.
  • Processing invoices from our counterparts and issuing hires for payment to our counterparts.
  • Controlling and closing voyages making sure that all entries have been posted and without variances in our P&L.
  • Stakeholder management on all levels. Internally you will especially be in contact with Operations, Financial Controlling, Accounting and the Chartering department and externally it concerns Agents, Brokers, and Owners.

  • Your mindset and way of working is the important element to succeed in this position. Thus, we are both open to applicants who have little practical experience and candidates with more experience. Most important is that you bring an analytical and proactive approach to your daily work tasks.
  • You hold good English skills.
