The Quality Risk Management Team ofthe Tax & LegalDepartment of Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus is seeking to recruit a Risk Management Specialist, at the level of Assistant Manager to Manager, based in our Nicosia office.

The Risk Management Specialist Role

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, among others:

• Assisting the Business Risk leader in implementing a risk management program in the Middle East Tax & Legal.
• Implementing and updating quality and risk management policies.
• Reviewing the engagement letters and other contractual documentation.
• Participating in the risk management reviews of offices and projects.
• Preparing alerts and other communications on risk management matters.
• Running training sessions on risk management.
• Providing consultations on risk management issues to tax professionals.
• Monitoring compliance with laws and regulations in the Middle East.
• Reviewing publications from a risk management angle.
• Running other elements of the risk management program.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in Economics, Law, Management, Business, Risk Management, or related fields.
• 5+ years’ work experience in a similar role, including internal audit and risk advisory roles.
• Experience in risk management roles/projects in a Big4 tax department will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
