CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established, International Construction & Engineering firm with newly established operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will play a key role ensuring the high-quality and reliability of various web and cloud based applications. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields who possess at least 1 year or proven experience with software quality assurance, ideally with a focus on web and cloud based applications. You will ideally hold knowledge of the Agile & Scrum methodologies and will need to be fluent in verbal and written English. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications to identify defects, ensuring all functionalities meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and user stories.
• Conduct thorough testing of web applications, including functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing.
• Document and report defects, ensuring clear and detailed information is provided to the development team for prompt resolution.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover any potential issues that may not be covered by existing test cases.
• Automate test cases where appropriate and maintain test automation scripts.
• Continuously improve and streamline the QA/QC process to increase efficiency and test coverage.
• Participate in the release management process, including pre-release and post-release testing to ensure a smooth deployment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the overall quality of the final product.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven 1-2 years’ experience as a QA/QC Engineer in a software development environment, with a focus on web and cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in manual testing and experience with test automation tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, Angular, JavaScript).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong knowledge databases and SQL.
• Very strong command of English.
