Roots Preschool in Limassol is looking for a dedicated, passionate teaching assistant to join our team beginning immediately.

Job Description and Duties:

1. Classroom Support: Assist the key teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and growth in various areas, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, according to the school’s curriculum.
2. Extra Curriculum Activities: Plan and Carry out stimulating extra curriculum activities for the children in the afternoon hours.
3. Supervision: Monitor and ensure the safety of students during classroom activities, playtime and outdoor excursions.
4. Classroom Setup: Assist in preparing and organizing the learning environment, including setting up materials, arranging furniture, and maintaining a tidy and inviting space.
5. Student Assessment: Observe and document student progress, behaviour, and participation, providing feedback to the key teacher to support individualized instruction and development.
6. Classroom Resources: Help maintain and manage educational resources, including books, toys, learning aids, and art supplies, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained.
7. Special Events: Assist in organizing and participating in special events, celebrations, field trips, and other activities that enrich the learning experience and create lasting memories for the children.
8. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education through continuous learning, attending workshops, and engaging in professional development opportunities.
9. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for the children in the class and in the school as a whole, strictly following safety policies and emergency procedures.
