The Client

Our client, Allianz Cyprus, is looking to recruit a Claims Officer for its offices in Nicosia, Cyprus. Allianz has been active in the Cypriot market offering insurance services, for more than 25 years. The Company's products and services cover a wide range of insurance needs for both commercial and retail customers, as well as products in the corporate and specialty spectrum.

The Position

The Claims Officer will have as main responsibility to receive, initiate, investigate, negotiate and settle P&C claims based on the policy terms and conditions and following the procedures of the company. The Claims Officer will report to Cyprus Branch Manager and will be a member of the local team working closely with other team members in supporting each other in all functions of the branch.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive claims, prepare claim file and initiate in the system

• Communicate with customers during the course of handling their claim

• Liaise with and monitor outsourcers such as claims assistance providers, assessors etc.

• Visit claims sites if necessary

• Cooperate and coordinate with external lawyers for claims legal cases

• Decide on claims payments within claim handling limits

• Review, check and approve smaller claims files handled by claims officers with lower authority

• Prepare claims reports, perform KPIs analysis and propose mitigating actions

Skills / Qualifications / Experience

• Degree in Insurance, Law, Engineering or other relevant field

• Master’s degree and/or any insurance relevant professional qualifications are considered an asset

• Excellent command of Greek and English language (spoken & written)

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel

• Minimum 2 - 5 years of claims management experience

• Analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong negotiation skills and problem solving capability

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Location

The position is for the offices of Allianz Cyprus in Nicosia.
