Responsibilities

• Opening and / or closing the restaurant.
• Recruiting, inducting, and mentoring new staff members
• Scheduling weekly roster, assigning shift leaders for wait staff and kitchen
• Ensure bar and kitchen serve consistent quality food and beverages, eliminating any inconsistencies.
• Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
• Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
• Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
• Weekly / monthly stock control and ordering of stock.
• Ensure the cash registers are balanced daily
• Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
• Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
• Supervise kitchen, wait staff and baristas and provide assistance, as needed
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of income and expenses
• Drive sales and profitability of operation
• Gather and review guests’ feedback (online and offline) and recommend improvements to food and beverage offerings and service levels
• Implementation of training manuals and brand standards

Requirements

• Work experience as a Supervisor / Assistant Manager, or similar role in the hospitality industry
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong math and reporting skills
• Great customer service attitude
• High level communication and team management abilities
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
• Self-driven and motivated
• High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
