The Company

On behalf of a top rated legal firm we are currently seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer for its offices in Nicosia.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advising on legal issues in corporate law, contract law, commercial law

  • Drafting Cyprus law-governed financing agreements, security agreements (including pledge agreements, assignment agreements, floating charges)

  • Drafting Cyprus law-governed shareholders agreements and advanced tailored articles of association

  • Drafting share purchase agreements, asset/business acquisition agreements and joint venture agreements

  • Organising, handling and monitoring the implementation of corporate and finance transactions, including the handling of communications with lead counsel and end clients (Western European and Northern American clients)

  • Advising on Cyprus corporate governance issues

  • Drafting and coordinating execution of Cyprus corporate authorities (in a transactional or administration context)

  • Supervising junior lawyer and paralegals in the above-mentioned domains

  • Liaising with global law firms on all of the above matters

Skills/Qualifications/ Experience

  • LLB (Hons)

  • Member of Cyprus Bar Association

  • LPC holders will be considered to have an advantage

  • At least five (5) years post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm in Cyprus or the UK.

  • In-depth experience in secured financing transactions (including, in particular, Cyprus law-governed security)

  • In-depth experience in Cyprus corporate law

  • Litigation experience will be considered a major advantage.

  • An indicative description of the transactions the candidate has worked on will be taken into account in the assessment of the application.

  • Fluent command of English and Greek, verbal and written

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with high attention to detail

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines

  • Organisational skills, including developed time management skills

  • Complete digital literacy

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven background in dealing with Western European and Northern American clients.

The position is for the offices of the Client located in Nicosia, Cyprus

Remuneration:

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to experience and qualifications.
