THE COMPANY
On behalf of our client, a luxury Hotel in Famagusta, we seek to recruit an energetic and high calibre professional for the position of Front Office and Reservations Manager to be based in Famagusta.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility of the Front Office and Reservations function of the Hotel.
More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:
- Oversee and monitor all aspects of the daily operations of the Hotel’s Front Office and Reservations function
- Hire, train, develop and manage Front Office and Reservations function team members
- Conduct daily briefings in order to ensure that all team members receive all the required information to perform effectively their duties and responsibilities
- Communicate and cooperate, on an on-going basis, with other Divisions (e.g. Restaurant, Housekeeping, etc.) to ensure the delivery of an excellent customer service to guests and customers
- Oversee reservations activity and work closely with internal teams and external vendors
- Manage guest inquiries regarding reservations, Hotel information and guests’ concerns, in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinate and monitor arrivals and departures as well as general billing issues
- Ensure front office equipment is functioning properly and office is properly stocked, reporting any problems or deviations to the responsible team(s)
- Meet and greet customers in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
- Anticipate customers’ needs, seek feedback and/or comments and respond urgently and appropriately to customers concerns and requests
- Provide suggestions and recommendations for improvements in operations
- Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations and processes related to the Front Office operations (e.g. customer service protocol, billing procedure, grooming / presentation standards, etc.)
- Handle any administration and paperwork required
- Execute any other tasks / responsibilities assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- At least five (5) years of proven experience in a similar position in a luxurious Hotel
- Excellent understanding of the customers’ needs
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages. Knowledge of an additional language will be considered an advantage
- Excellent computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills
