The Independence team of the Central Risk Department of Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated professional to join the team at the level of Associate to Senior, in our Nicosia or Limassol office.

The Team

The Central Risk Department is responsible for matters pertaining to Compliance; Regulatory; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Ethics; Anti-Corruption; Independence and Risk Management for the entire Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus region. This is a unique opportunity to engage in cross-border collaboration with Deloitte professionals across the Deloitte network, broadening your knowledge and building your competencies and skills.

The Role

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, among other:

  • Support the Director of Independence on ongoing and ad-hoc independence-related tasks and projects.
  • Perform monitoring exercises and checks related to firm independence matters.
  • Provide support to and work closely with the business in relation to all matters pertaining to audit independence requirements.
  • Effectively communicate and implement independence policies and procedures.
  • Remain updated with developments and changes related to independence policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree from a reputable University in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration or other related fields.
  • Experience on independence matters will be considered as a strong advantage.
  • Audit experience will be considered as a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
