CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, as well as the regular reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements. Any academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable, but not essential and you will need to possess approximately 2+ years of previous experience working in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheets.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Raise, process, reconcile and confirm inter-company invoices.
- Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
- Update financial date in databases to ensure information will be accurate and available when needed.
- Assist with other financial accounting projects as required.
- An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar field is desirable, but not essential.
- Any accounting certification such as the LCCI Higher is desirable, but not essential.
- Approximately 2+ years of previous experience in accounting and bookkeeping is a must.
- Previous experience with issuing and reconciling invoices.
- Previous experience with reconciliation of balance sheets is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly numeric with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver a high standard or work within agreed timeframes.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiar with MS Office, including Excel.
