CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will assist with a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including the processing of sales and purchase invoices, carrying out bank reconciliations, as well as some general administrative duties. An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar field is desirable and any previous experience working in a relevant role will be considered a significant advantage, although full training will be provided. Fluency in both Greek & English is a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Processing of sales and purchase invoices.
• Recording of bank transactions and carrying out bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the AML records of the firm.
• Perform administrative functions including answering the phones and completing forms for various authorities.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Holder of LCCI Higher diploma and/or University degree in a relevant field e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics.
• Previous accounting experience in an accounting/ audit firm will be considered a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken Greek and English.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, EXCEL).
• Attention to detail and results oriented.
• Diligent, methodical, devoted and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A team player with pleasant personality.
