Job Summary

As a Deputy Non-Motor Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating risks associated with non-motor insurance policies. You will develop your expertise in underwriting principles, policy guidelines and market trends to make informed decisions and ensure profitable portfolio management. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze non-motor insurance applications and assess risks based on company guidelines and industry standards.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments, including evaluating policyholders' information, conducting inspections if necessary, and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.

• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and other internal teams to gather necessary information, clarify policy details, and resolve any discrepancies.

• Make underwriting decisions based on established guidelines, risk appetite, and market trends to maintain a profitable portfolio.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and maintain accurate documentation of underwriting decisions and processes.

• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks to provide insights and recommendations for product development and pricing strategies.

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in Non-Motor Underwriting or similar role within the insurance industry.

• Basic knowledge of non-motor insurance policies, underwriting principles, and risk assessment techniques.

• Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound underwriting decisions.

• Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, brokers, agents, and policyholders.
