CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a very well-known and respected provider of technology solutions to Financial Services companies across the world, we are seeking to recruit a DevOps Engineer to join their team based in Limassol. The successful applicant should have a technical background and will possess previous professional experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Linux O/S and RDBMS as well as scripting/development skills in Python, Perl, PHP and/or Java are a must.

Role Overview:

The Devops Engineer builds and operates the platform which powers the company’s core system. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the wide portfolio of applications and services, including XCore systems, DBMS, monitoring systems, CI/CD and automation platforms and has a strong knowledge of Linux operating system and scripting/coding ability in Python, Perl, PHP or Java. Important duties of the role include support, automation, configuration management, monitoring and tuning of all company systems, ensuring 24×7 availability.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support of Linux OS and various services.
• Support and development of monitoring solutions (Icinga, Zabbix, PRTG, Graylog, Grafana).
• Support of RDBMS (MySQL, MariaDB).
• Automation and configuration management (SaltStack, Jenkins).
• Creating policies, procedures and documentation.
• Support of TSDB (InfluxDB), Elasticsearch and other similar systems.
• Development and scripting using Python, Perl, PHP and/or Java.
• Support of web-based projects and internal tools.
• Windows-based services support.

Key Skills/Experience:

• A technical background is mandatory with experience in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Strong experience with RDBMS (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Experience with TSDB, key/value stores, column-oriented databases and Elastic stack.
• Experience with CI/CD, configuration management software and automation frameworks.
• Good scripting/development skills using Python, Perl, PHP or Java.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Icinga, Zabbix, PRTG, Graylog, Grafana).
• Experience with web servers, reverse proxies and load balancers.
