RESEARCHFELLOW (Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Assistant A or Research Assistant B) POSITION

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-timeResearch Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Assistant A or Research Assistant B) at the Department of Chemical Engineering in the field of “Seaweed Cultivation”.

The research activity will include:

• Installation of an algae cultivation unit
• Field measurements and data analysis
• Writing scientific reports

Applicants should have:

For the position of Research Fellow/Assistant Researcher B

• Degree from a Recognized University in relevant subjects: marine life science, biology, environmental science and technology, environmental engineering, or related discipline

For the position of Research Fellow/Assistant Researcher A

• A Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a Recognized University in relevant subjects: marine life science, biology, environmental science and technology, environmental engineering or related discipline

For both positions

• Programming experience in a high-level programming language
• Very good knowledge of English
• Organizational skills
• Programming ability to analyze scientific data
• Willingness to participate in scientific experiments and field measurements

The following will be considered as an advantage:

• Experience in preparing, submitting, and managing research projects.
• Possession of a Ph.D. title.
• Carrying out research projects from national and/or European funds
• Knowledge of computing tools such as R, C++, Python

Τhe appointment will be for a period of sixteen (16) months, with start date September 2023).

The monthly gross salary for the position will range between €735,24 – €1115,40 for the year 2023 and €732,06 – €1110,57 for the year 2024. The salary will depend on the profile of the candidate selected. The hours of employment per month will be 60 per month. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).
