Chief Accountant (on behalf of a client)

Career Opportunity

On behalf of a client, a diversified group of companies, we seek to recruit a Chief Accountant for their offices in Larnaca.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Having overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the accounting department for a number of companies of the group (incl. cash flow management, invoicing and receipts, reconciliations).
• Prepare and submit various regular and ad hoc reports to management, to support decision making.
• Recommend ways to improve profitability.
• Control suppliers and creditors.
• Control and co-ordinate debtor collection.
• Ensure the submission of reports to the authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
• Cooperate with external stakeholders such as banks and vendors.
• Liaise with other departments and companies of the group.
• Undertake any other relevant duties and responsibilities, as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• Holder of a related professional qualification (incl. ACA or ACCA) will be considered an advantage.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English.
• Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
