The Client:

On behalf of our client, a loan servicing company, we are looking to recruit an Accountant for its offices in Nicosia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. General ledger & month end preparation

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.

• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.

• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.

• Liaise with internal and external clients in connection with invoice authorisation and reconciliation.

• Raise, process, reconcile and confirm inter-company invoices.

• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.

2. Financial accounting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/year-end accounts, statutory accounts, Regulatory Accounts and Contractual Accounts.

• Update financial date in databases to ensure information will be accurate and available when needed.

• Assist with other financial accounting projects.

3. Tax preparation

• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting activities for the various entities.

• Ad hoc duties and assignments as and when required by the line Manager.

• Any other duties as required.

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:

• Qualified or part-qualified as ACCA.

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.

• Excellent command of the English and Greek languages.

• Good level of proficiency with MS Office applications.

• Ability to meet and establish deadlines.

• Very good interpersonal skills and time management skills.

• Good team player.

• Excellent communication, analytical and organization skills.

• Attention to detail and results oriented.

Location: The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
