Imports Manager, Limassol – IM/8/22

Our client, one of the biggest shipping and container shipping companies globally, operating 257 ship routes between 420 ports in 160 countries wishes to employ an experienced professional as Imports manager for its offices in Limassol.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

The job holder will be responsible to lead the Imports Department ensuring that all processes and procedures are implemented properly so that all goods arrive in Cyprus as per client’s agreement in terms of cost, timeframe with no damages. The job holder will manage a volume of 20.000-30.000 containers annually and a team of 6-7 people working within the department.  Furthermore, will give clear instructions and will resolve problems related to shipping documentations and maintain good relationships with all external authorities involved in the process of shipping. Finally, the job holder will prepare monthly/quarterly reports for the HQ presenting the department’s performance and budget.

Position’s Requirements

• University degree International Management, International Trading, Business Administration or any other relevant topic
• At least 8 years in similar position at a shipping/freight service provider company
• Excellent knowledge of the Cyprus Shipping Market
• communication and negotiation skills
• organization and planning skills
• people management skills
• Very good knowledge of English and Greek Language ( knowledge of French language will be considered as an advantage)
• PC literate (advanced in excel)
