The General Ledger Manager is responsible for leading, developing and mentoring a Team Lead and 6 General Ledger Accountants. Responsible for a portfolio of EMEA legal entities and Amdocs business functional areas, the role is critical to the Controllership meeting its strategic goals and initiatives.

What will your job look like?

  • Responsibility for the review and accuracy of the monthly/quarterly reporting of the Company’s EMEA subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP for group consolidation purposes

  • Responsibility for the review and accuracy of functional expense areas (IT, Marketing, Legal etc.) to ensure they are accurately reported and analyzed for group reporting purposes

  • Responsibility for planning and managing of all statutory reporting requirements, ensuring they are met within agreed timelines and within budget

  • Partner with external auditors to ensure all statutory audits are managed efficiently within agreed timelines and budgets.

  • Foster and drive exceptional relationships with Corporate Accounting, Finance and Tax functions.

  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to direct and indirect reports

  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external

  • Encourage and drive innovation within the General Ledger Team by constantly challenging existing processes/procedures and delivering improvements

  • Support and enhance collaboration between the GL teams in Dublin and Cyprus and across the wider EMEA Controllership.

All you need is...

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Economics).

  • Must be a fully qualified accountant (ICAEW, CA, ACCA, or CIMA).

  • Manager/Senior Manager level Experience of working within a Big Four international practice or a local mid-tier firm

  • 2-4 years of industry experience as a Team Lead/Manager, preferably within in a global high-tech company.

  • Ability to drive strategic decision making across the Controllership and by partnering with Corporate functions.

  • Ability to assess risks, focus and prioritise on material issues coupled with very strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Proven managerial experience, with the ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop a team, while maximizing performance

  • A proven track record in driving innovation and delivering efficiencies within teams

  • Advanced ERP experience (SAP an advantage).

  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of statutory reporting and GAAP accounting standards
