DIRECTOR – NICOSIA

THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a highly reputable Company specialising in holding and investment activities, we are seeking to recruit on a part-time basis an experienced and high calibre professional for the position of Director to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility of overseeing and directing the Company’s corporate activities in Cyprus, whilst ensuring compliance, optimisation and efficiency.

More specifically, the duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, among others, the following:

• Review and sign of documents on behalf of the Company, such as, agreements, power of attorneys, etc.
• Participate in Board meetings together with the nominee directors
• Approve sales and purchases of shares in different companies and other property
• Communicate with Banking Institutions to obtain loans and arrange the related repayments and manage accounts
• Engage in business decision-making in cooperation with the nominee directors
• Implement and maintain procedures, policies, and practices of the Cyprus Office in order to achieve operational and organisational effectiveness while ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
• Keep abreast of sectorial trends within the industry the Company operates in and keep track of all local and international updates regarding corporate and regulatory matters in an effort to assess their impact and contribute to the Company’s responsiveness
• Maintain and expand local network to facilitate business activities (i.e. Audit and Law Firms, Banking Institutions, registered agents, business partners, Tax, Migration and other governmental authorities)

REQUIREMENTS

• Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA) or Bachelor’s Degree in Law or any other professional qualification
• Proven experience in a related position
• Understanding of corporate finance, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Cyprus tax principles and measures of business performance
• Robust understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
• Knowledge in legislative frameworks, accounting standards and tax regimes will be considered as advantage
• Familiarity with corporate law
• Strong business and strategic acumen
• Impeccable negotiation and representation skills with a strong network of contacts
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of the local market
• Excellent computer literacy
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian could be considered an advantage

Note: Candidate should not be a director in companies related to other businesses operating in Ukraine, and he/she should not be an employee of a fiduciary services provider.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
