Health and Safety Officer:

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, ambitious and dynamic person to join our team for the position of Health and Safety Officer based in Nicosia. The Health and safety officer plays a vital role in protecting employees in the workplace. The main objective is to control risks at work and ensure that organisation meets current safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Compliance with local and industry-related requirements to maintain a safe working environment
• Development of the Health and Safety procedures and controls in line with the ISO 45001 and the Health & Safety Legal Framework
• Manage and develop monthly reports with regards to Health and Safety Risks
• Develop and deliver Health and Safety induction training, awareness and organize outsourced training programs
• Conduct regular audits for all departments to verify control implementation and suitability 
• Assist with the development training and implementation of Cablenet’s Emergency Evacuation Plan

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold the NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum or any other qualification related to Occupational Health and Safety 
• University Degree in Occupational Health and Safety will be considered an advantage
• Have the required hours of training to obtain the Labour Office approval for Health and Safety Representative
• Have at least 3 years of practical working experience
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of health and safety risks and adopting those into the relevant control management system 
• Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Greek languages
• Strong MS office knowledge (e.g.: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) 
• Demonstrate the ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical thinking and problem solving 
• Time management skills
• Clean criminal record is required
• Driving license is required
