The team 
A career in the Risk, Compliance & Regulation department, will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a high calibre and dynamic team of regulatory and risk specialists providing a variety of tailor-made solutions to our clients to support their efforts in meeting regulatory expectations while maintaining a profitable and healthy business.

Main responsibilities 

  • With the Energy Sector undergoing extensive regulatory reform and fundamental transformation, and with the energy transition, regulatory requirements and digitisation posing new challenges for the industry, we are seeking to recruit an Energy Regulatory Consultant who will be responsible for:
  • Delivering client engagements that arise as a result of regulatory requirements and/ or policy requirements in the Energy Sector. This may also include, but is not limited to, the delivery of client engagements in close collaboration with other practices within PwC for the provision of advice in connection with valuations, mergers and acquisitions and due diligence exercises.
  • Developing and maintaining a continuous understanding and knowledge of the trends and developments in the Energy Sector, including the relevant underlying regulatory framework.
  • Participating in business development initiatives, including support in the development of new service propositions, as well as proposal preparation and delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with clients and stakeholders in the Energy Sector.
  • Leading junior team members for the delivery of the work, providing coaching and guidance.

What we are looking for

  • A university degree in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or in a related field. 
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm, or in a role related to Energy Regulation and Policy (e.g. design and/ or implementation of Energy Regulation and Policy, regulatory management/ compliance role).
  • Good knowledge and/or experience in Energy Regulation and Policy, including understanding of the relevant regulatory framework and its implications for organisations.
  • Understanding of emerging Energy market trends and propositions and their impact on stakeholders in the Energy Sector.
  • Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and deliver results. 
  • Curious and innovative mindset and easily adaptable to new challenges.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead teams and coach more junior team members
  • Confident, articulate and able to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
