CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Trading Company with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their expanding team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 3+ years of relevant Accounting experience and will have prior experience of preparing Financial Statements under IFRS. Fluency in Greek and English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
 

• Maintain accounting and bookkeeping records.
• Execution of payments on a daily basis.
• Allocation of office expenses between group companies.
• Preparation of invoices.
• Preparation of Financial statements under IFRS.
• Performing Debtors, Creditors and Bank reconciliations.
• Liaising with auditors.
• Knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT, VIES reports.
• Any other tasks that may be assigned.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

• Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• 3+ years prior experience in an accounting or audit role is essential.
• Knowledge of professional accounting software (ideally CaseWare).
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Team player and well organized with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of Cyprus taxation system.
