Advance Career, on behalf of our client, a well-established CySec regulated Forex organisation, located in Larnaca, is seeking to recruit an Accountant;

Responsibilities:

  • Assists and supports in the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Assists in the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Assists the Head of Finance & Accounting in the reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Ensures the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions
  • Ensures all supplier invoices are paid as per the terms and conditions agreed
  • Assists in daily banking requirements
  • Assists in developing more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Assists external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
  • Supports the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Executes and reconciles the payment of payroll for all the company employees
  • Ensures timely delivery and collection of documents
  • Conducts periodical spot checks on all departments to ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting areas
  • Carries out any further duties assigned by their line manager
  • Contributes to a positive and dynamic working environment

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Accounting or similar
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience; experience within FX industry would be considered an advantage
  • Working towards ACCA/ACA qualification
  • Fluency in English – extra language would be considered an advantage
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
