Career Opportunity

On behalf of a client, a diversified group of companies, we seek to recruit an ambitious, dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Chief Financial Officer. The individual will be working from the Group’s offices in Larnaca.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Have overall responsibility for the supervision and internal audit of the Group’s finance and accounting activities.
  • Participate in the development of the Group annual budgets and cash flows, in cooperation with the subsidiaries and the Group Board of Directors.
  • Participate in strategic decision making for the Group.
  • Have overall supervision for the smooth operation of the accounting departments across the companies of the Group (incl. cash flow management, invoicing and receipts, reconciliations).
  • Forecast that that there is adequate cash flow for the Group’s operations.
  • Collect and present suppliers and creditors, Aging Analyses, and debtor collections.
  • Have overall supervision for the monthly execution of payroll and the timely submission of all required contributions to the authorities.
  • Submit various regular and ad hoc reports to the Group Board of Directors and management.
  • Lead, manage, develop, and motivate Accounting team members in all Group companies.
  • Undertake other relevant duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Board.
  • Report to the Board every month and as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, or related field. 
  • Holder of a related professional qualification (incl. ACA or ACCA).
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant business position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Computer literacy, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SAP Business 1.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong business and market awareness.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, code of conduct and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and participate in training programs
  • To be an excellent, inspiring, and friendly team member.

Remuneration and Benefits

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate, depending on qualifications, experience and ability to grow in the post.
