Advance Career, on behalf of our client, a Ship Management Company in Limassol, is looking to recruit a Human Resources Officer;

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the crew selection and recruitment, directly or through the manning agencies.
  • Ensuring that the pre-employment procedure is completed before the crew embarks the ship and all parties are informed on the new joiner’s arrival.
  • Preparing crew contracts of employment and monitoring its expiry.
  • Ensuring that Crewing Software is up to date as per the Company procedure .
  • Monitoring that documents of the crew on board are always up to date and valid.
  • Managing the visa and residence permit process, as applicable.
  • Ensuring that the crew social insurance in Cyprus (A1) and the health insurance are finalized in a timely manner.
  • Managing the crew offboarding/exit process.
  • Supporting Payroll process and checking invoices from relevant suppliers.
  • Daily support over an email and telephone, and building good relationship with the crew.
  • Carrying out other department related tasks when required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Shipping or Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in similar position in river cruise industry or in shipping.
  • Excellent planning, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of English language (both written and oral).
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel Power Point).
  • Knowledge of the Crew Management Software SeaCrew is a plus.
  • A team player who can work independently.
  • Proactive and able to multitask and work under pressure.
