ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Company Description:

We are seeking to recruit a high caliber professional for the position of Assistant Accountant, for our offices in Nicosia.

Job Duties:

Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be overall responsible for executing tasks of the accounting cycle and administering the receivable accounts of the company. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for updating accounting records, assisting with bank reconciliations, issuing and reconciling of invoices, entering financial transactions into internal databases, processing accounting receivables and incoming payments, performing daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable’s data. Finally, he/she will be responsible for supporting the department with other accounting tasks based on departmental need.

Qualifications:

  • Holder of the LCCI Higher in Accounting, AAT, CAT or any other equivalent qualifications
  • A University degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance or any other relevant field will be considered as an advantage
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar position
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite applications)
  • Very good knowledge of the Greek and English languages
