Systems Administrator, Nicosia – SA/10/26

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Systems Administrator to join our client's IT team and support the day-to-day operation of their infrastructure, cloud services, business applications, and retail technology environment.
This role is ideal for a candidate looking to build a career in IT, gaining hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualization, business applications, and retail systems within a multi-site retail organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, virtual machines, network infrastructure, and cloud services across business locations in Cyprus.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
• Assist with the support and troubleshooting of firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
• Maintain and support the company’s business intelligence (BI) platforms, keeping data accurate and available, and build reports and dashboards that help the commercial teams make informed decisions.
• Provide first and second-line support for users across head office, warehouses, and retail stores.
• Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other business applications.
• Provide technical support for Point of Sale (POS) systems and back-office store hardware.
• Monitor system and network performance and escalate issues where necessary.
• Assist with endpoint security, software updates, patching, backups, and routine maintenance activities.
• Support store openings, hardware deployments, software rollouts, and other IT projects.
• Work with external vendors and technology partners when required.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system records.
• Continuously develop technical skills and keep up to date with new technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of previous IT experience in relevant position
• Good understanding of Microsoft systems including Windows and Microsoft 365 and MS Business Central
• Familiarity with computer networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, switches, and internet connectivity.
• Exposure to Active Directory, Entra ID, virtualization technologies, or cloud services is considered an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and user support skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
