Evangelismos Private Hospital, one of the leading private hospitals in Cyprus, is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organised IT Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support and maintaining the Hospital's IT infrastructure, end-user systems, and medical applications, ensuring the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of IT services across all departments.
This is a hands-on position suited to a proactive IT professional who can work effectively in a dynamic and demanding healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding of new users across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, business applications, and specialised medical systems, ensuring appropriate access rights and group memberships.
- Ensure the timely and secure offboarding of departing users, including account deactivation, licence recovery, and access revocation.
- Provide first- and second-line IT support, responding promptly to user requests and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor and verify daily system backups, ensuring data integrity and promptly escalating any failures or irregularities.
- Install, configure, and commission IT equipment, including workstations, printers, connected devices, and medical IT systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating complex incidents to the IT Manager or external service providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, user accounts, and technical support activities.
- Support routine network operations and assist in maintaining network connectivity, availability, and performance throughout the Hospital.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative departments to identify and address their IT requirements in a professional and service-oriented manner.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in an IT support or IT Officer position, preferably within a healthcare, corporate, or similarly demanding environment.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and terminology, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switches, and firewalls.
- Proven experience in administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including user management, licensing, mailboxes, and security groups.
- Experience supporting business applications, including user onboarding, access management, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, printers, and connected devices.
- Familiarity with backup monitoring procedures and fundamental data protection practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a systematic and detail-oriented approach.
Personal Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality, particularly when handling sensitive healthcare information.
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken.
Additional Qualifications (Considered an Advantage)
- Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365, or ITIL Foundation.
- Previous experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or medical IoT devices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data protection principles, and GDPR compliance.
- Experience supporting specialised medical applications and healthcare technology platforms.
