Accountant, Larnaca – AL/10/26

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for your next career opportunity? Our client, is seeking a motivated, reliable, and proactive Accountant to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments while contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Conduct bank, debtor, creditor, stock, and other relevant reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • Assist with external audits by providing the required documentation and explanations.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and report financial discrepancies and variances, investigate issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other ad hoc accounting duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Previous experience in an Accountant or Accountant-Bookkeeper role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Pleasant personality and professional attitude.
  • Holder of a valid EU working permit.
  • AAT or LCCI Higher qualification will be considered an advantage.
