CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Tax, Accountancy and Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Client Accountant you will primarily be responsible for maintaining and updating accounting records and bookkeeping entries for a portfolio of clients. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and partly qualified ACA or ACCA members are encouraged to apply. Experience with accounting software such as Cycom, Esoft, SAP, CaseWare or Navision will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. Knowledge of additional languages such as Greek or Russian will be considered a plus. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, performance-based bonus, flexible working hours, Friday afternoon’s off, and paid parking. Standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining and updating accounting records and bookkeeping entries for a portfolio of clients.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts. 
• Performing VAT, tax compliance, and regulatory filing work. 
• Reconciling bank accounts and ledger balances. 
• Communicating with clients regarding accounting and compliance matters. 
• Liaising with government authorities including Tax, VAT and Social Insurance Departments. 
• Supporting senior accountants on various client assignments. 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Partly qualified ACA or ACCA candidates will be considered an advantage. 
• Prior experience in a relevant position is desirable, but not essential.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages such as Greek or Russian will be considered an advantage. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. 
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.  
• Experience with accounting software such as Cycom, Esoft, SAP, CaseWare or Navision will be considered an advantage.
