TLC Private School Primary Teacher (Full Time)
TLC Private SchoolTLC Private School is a non-selective and coeducational school that is seeking a passionate and driven educator for the post of Primary Teacher, delivering the English National Curriculum. The successful applicant must have a high standard of both spoken and written English, as well as recent, relevant experience teaching the English National Curriculum.
Role
To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school’s policies, under the direction of the Principal. You will be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, takes responsibility for professional development and supports students to achieve well.
Professional Responsibilities

- Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge
- Maintain secure knowledge of curriculum areas, foster and maintain students’ interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons
- Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment, including statutory assessment requirements
- Use formative and summative assessment to secure students’ progress
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour with clear rules and routines; manage behaviour effectively in line with the school’s behaviour policy
- Establish a framework for discipline using a range of strategies, including praise, sanctions and rewards, consistently and fairly
- Maintain professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Take part in continuous professional development provided by the school, both internally and externally
- Make a positive contribution to the wider community and ethos of the school
- Deploy support staff effectively, ensuring they are valued, involved, and given suitable responsibility
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ achievements and well-being through reports, parent meetings, oral feedback, and other appropriate methods
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have the right to work in the EU
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Pedagogical is a must); additional degrees are an advantage
- Hold a Professional Educator Diploma or other teacher qualification if available (e.g. QTS, PGCE)
- Have relevant experience teaching the English National Curriculum
- Be familiar with the use of technology in teaching and learning
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Have experience in an international school setting
- Be expected to provide evidence of a clear criminal record
