CareerFinders Recruitment Services LtdCareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading FMCG company with a long history of success here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer (Polish-Speaking) to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Accounting Officer, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of our client. As part of your role, you will communicate regularly with polish-speaking customers, suppliers, and business associates regarding accounting and financial matters. An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable, and you should hold some prior experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping position. Fluency in both verbal and written Polish is essential, along with knowledge of either Greek and/or English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recording purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, receipts, and payments in the accounting system.
- Checking the accuracy of invoices and supporting documentation.
- Reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
- Communicating with Polish-speaking customers, suppliers, and business associates regarding accounting and financial matters.
- Managing and filing accounting documents and supporting records.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and other accounting reconciliations.
- Collaborating with other members of the Accounting Department and with other departments of the Company.
- Performing any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous work experience in an accounting department or in a similar position.
- Very good knowledge of the Polish language, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of Greek and/or English.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Legal right to work in the Republic of Cyprus.
