The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Payments Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing payment operations, agent account administration, and communication, ensuring the efficient execution and monitoring of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding of agent accounts, including account setup, IBAN verification, and related due diligence procedures

  • Generate payment lists and reports through the TP platform in accordance with operational requirements

  • Prepare, process, and execute payments accurately and within established deadlines

  • Update and maintain payment and Disbursement Account (DA) statuses within the TP platform

  • Monitor vessel allocation funds, track outstanding balances, and ensure accurate financial records are maintained

  • Communicate with agents to obtain clarifications, resolve discrepancies, and address payment-related queries

  • Liaise with clients regarding fund top-ups, payment requirements, and issue resolution

  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational and payment processing issues to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and applicable financial regulations

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in payments, accounts payable, finance operations, shipping agency accounting, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Experience working with payment processing platforms and financial systems

  • Good understanding of banking processes, including IBAN verification and payment execution

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and external agents

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience in the shipping or maritime industry will be considered an advantage
