REQ13335 Attendant, Gift Shop (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Attendant, Gift shop will be responsible for the overall operation of the Gift Shop, ordering stock from the suppliers, introducing invoices in the Software system, labelling and pricing the items, doing promotions, managing the warehouse and the overall customer service and management needed to provide a high standard and quality service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Takes full responsibility of the cash box and its balancing at the end of the Day, being able to provide accurate reports and invoicing all the customers of the day
• Price & label all merchandise
• Maintain the inventory of the store's stockroom
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Recommends and display items that match customer needs
• Uses suggestive selling practices to drive retail sales.
• Manages point-of new shipments of-sale processes
• Actively involves in the receiving
• Keeps up to date with product information
• Uses proper etiquette for telephone handling
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Able to maintains the retail shop organized and clean
• Welcome and greets customers
• Follow all policies and procedures of the company
• Any other duties as and when the business requires

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• Experience in retail sales will consider as advantage
• Experience on Birchstreet Purchasing System will be consider as advantage
• Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service focus
• Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
• Basic administration skills
• High school degree
