As a Junior Lawyer, you will be responsible for reviewing and drafting of corporate, finance, commercial agreements including but not limited to SPA, SHA, option agreements, loan agreements, pledge agreement, security agreements, etc. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, and holders of the Cyprus Bar Licence are encouraged to apply. You will need to have approximately 2+ years of previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of Zygos software will be considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English are a must, and knowledge of Russian language is a plus. Working hours are 09:00–18:00, Monday to Thursday, including a 30-minute break, and 09:00–15:00 on Fridays. Following successful completion of the probationary period, the role also offers the flexibility to work from home.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and drafting of corporate, finance, commercial agreements including but not limited to SPA, SHA, option agreements, loan agreements, pledge agreement, security agreements, etc.
- Liaising with various public authorities (Companies Registrar, Land Registry, District Office, Tax Office etc).
- Undertaking and overseeing the formation, administration and dissolution of companies registered in Cyprus and offshore jurisdictions.
- Drafting and reviewing Memorandum and Articles of Association and effecting amendments on them.
- Submissions of Court Applications.
- Assisting with drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements.
- Providing legal opinions on corporate, tax, commercial matters.
- Managing complaints in accordance with regulatory guidelines and complaints handling policy of the Company.
- Providing legal services in connection with high profile transactions for developers, contractors, subcontractors, and leading consultants both locally and internationally.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University Degree in Law.
- 2-3 years’ experience.
- Qualified Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language, both written and spoken. Russian will be considered as an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of Cyprus Companies Law.
- Knowledge of Zygos software will be considered as an advantage.
- IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel etc.
