Assistant Director of Quality Assurance, Nicosia – ADQA/07/26

Our client, a leading higher education institution in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Director of Quality Assurance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the coordination of quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with national and international quality standards while contributing to the institution's academic excellence and strategic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality assurance, accreditation, and programme review activities across the institution.
  • Support the preparation and submission of documentation for accreditation and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor compliance with institutional policies, quality standards, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate external evaluation visits and accreditation processes.
  • Maintain and update quality assurance records, databases, and related documentation.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate periodic review activities and support strategic development initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, committee documentation, meeting minutes, and quality-related records.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, programme leaders, and senior management to support continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of new academic programmes and quality assurance initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quality Management, Education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance, accreditation, higher education administration, or senior coordination role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and database management.
  • Ability to prepare high-quality reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Criteria

  • Master's degree in Quality Management, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience within the higher education or healthcare education sector.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and regulatory bodies, such as CYQAA.
  • Experience supporting curriculum development.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance workplace productivity.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software and reporting tools.
