CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well established and respected Financial Services Consulting Group, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Compliance & AML Officer based in their offices in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be joining the company’s growing Regulatory Compliance and AML Advisory team, and will work alongside experienced compliance professionals, supporting a diverse portfolio of regulated financial institutions, including Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs), Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs), Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs), and other CySEC-regulated entities. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Banking & Finance, or another relevant discipline, who possess approximately 1+ years of experience within Compliance, AML/CFT, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Financial Services Consulting, or a regulated financial services environment. Holders of any professional certifications such as CySEC, CAMS, or equivalent, are encouraged to apply. Experience within a Cyprus Investment Firm, AIFM, Compliance Consultancy, Audit Firm, Fund Administrator or Financial Institution will be considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
• Support the preparation of Annual Compliance and AML Reports.
• Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and testing procedures.
• Assist with AML Risk Assessments and AML Monitoring Programmes.
• Review client documentation and internal procedures to ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
• Draft, review and update compliance manuals, AML manuals and other regulatory policies and procedures.
• Assist with periodic regulatory reporting and submissions to CySEC and other competent authorities.
• Monitor regulatory reporting deadlines and compliance calendars.
• Participate in client meetings and provide support on compliance and AML-related matters.
• Support senior team members on compliance and AML advisory engagements.
• Keep up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practices.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Banking & Finance, or another relevant discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience within Compliance, AML/CFT, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Financial Services Consulting, or a regulated financial services environment.
• Previous exposure to the Cyprus financial services industry.
• Experience within a Cyprus Investment Firm, AIFM, Compliance Consultancy, Audit Firm, Fund Administrator or Financial Institution will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of CySEC regulatory requirements would be beneficial.
• CySEC Certification, CAMS, or other relevant professional qualifications will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional, client-focused approach.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
